The Links, Incorporated is an international, not-for-profit corporation co-founded by Margaret Rosell Hawkins and Sarah Strickland Scott in 1946 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The organization’s membership consists of more than 17,000 professional women of African descent in 299 chapters located in 41 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, and the United Kingdom. The Links, Incorporated is one of the nation’s oldest and largest volunteer service organizations of extraordinary women. The Long Island (NY) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated was chartered on October 27, 1962. For over 60 years our dedicated members have provided community service to Queens, Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
